At 85 inches, TCL’s 2026 C8L SQD-Mini LED TV gets its brightest panel and a big rise in dimming zones over the smaller sizes. It runs Google TV on a 4K 144Hz screen with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and four HDMI 2.1 inputs, exactly like the rest of the range. The TCL 65″ C8L page covers the shared features, gaming support and sound in detail.
Who the 85″ suits
Pick the 85″ if you sit around 2.2 to 3.2 metres from the wall, or if you want a projector-sized image in a room that is too bright for a projector. It is a good fit for an open-plan lounge, a dedicated TV room or a family that watches football together. In a small bedroom or a studio apartment it will be too large to watch comfortably.

TCL 85″ C8L FAQs
How much is the 85-inch TCL C8L in Kenya?
KSh 281,999 at Avechi as of October 2026, including a 1-year warranty.
Should I buy the 85″ C8L or the 85″ C7L?
The C8L. At current Avechi prices the gap is under KSh 5,000, and for that you get 3,200 zones instead of about 1,600, a brighter panel, four HDMI 2.1 ports instead of two and Wi-Fi 6.
Can it be wall mounted on a partition wall?
At close to 39kg it needs a strong VESA 500 x 600 bracket fixed into concrete, block or a reinforced partition. A bracket is not included, and plain gypsum board will not hold it safely.
