Description
TCL 75″ C855 Price in Kenya
Avechi has the TCL 75″ C855 in stock at KSh 226,999, with a 1-year warranty and the choice of delivery or pick-up from our Nairobi shop.
The C855 was TCL’s 2024 premium 4K TV. It uses a QD-Mini LED backlight, where thousands of very small LEDs sit behind a quantum dot film and are split into 2,160 zones on this size that dim and brighten separately. Add a 144Hz panel, an ONKYO speaker system with a subwoofer and Google TV, and you get a set aimed at film fans and serious gamers. It has since been followed by the C8L, which we also stock at a lower price, so please read the comparison below before deciding.

Why buy the TCL C855
- Real HDR punch. With 2,160 dimming zones and a claimed 3,500-nit peak, bright details such as stadium floodlights or sunsets stand out while the rest of the scene stays dark, which a standard LED TV cannot do.
- Dark-room film watching. Local dimming keeps black bars and night scenes inky, and Dolby Vision IQ adjusts the picture to the light in your room.
- Built for PS5, Xbox and PC. 4K at up to 144Hz, VRR and FreeSync Premium Pro give smooth, tear-free motion. PC players get the most from the 144Hz ceiling.
- Better built-in sound than most TVs. The ONKYO system adds a subwoofer and up-firing drivers for Dolby Atmos, so many buyers can skip a basic soundbar.
- Google TV and AirPlay. Android phones cast with Chromecast and iPhones with AirPlay 2, and all the main streaming apps come from the Play Store.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Strong contrast and brightness from Mini LED | Costs more at Avechi than the newer, brighter C8L |
| 4K 144Hz with VRR and FreeSync Premium Pro | Colour and contrast drop if you sit well off to the side |
| ONKYO speakers with subwoofer | Slight blooming around bright objects on dark backgrounds |
| Every major HDR format, including IMAX Enhanced | Reviewers found only one full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 port |
| Google TV plus AirPlay 2 | Very heavy for a 75″; needs a strong wall |
Which size is right for your room?
For a 75″ 4K screen, sit about 1.9 to 2.9 metres away. The C855 is in stock at Avechi in three sizes:
| Size | Avechi price |
|---|---|
| TCL 65″ C855 | KSh 156,999 |
| TCL 75″ C855 (this page) | KSh 226,999 |
| TCL 85″ C855 | KSh 261,999 |
Prices last updated October 2026. Dimming zones and brightness vary by size; the 65″ has fewer zones than the 75″.
TCL 75″ C855 vs TCL 75″ C8L
| TCL 75″ C855 | TCL 75″ C8L | |
|---|---|---|
| Generation | 2024 | Newer |
| Backlight | QD-Mini LED, 2,160 zones | SQD-Mini LED, 2,584 zones |
| Claimed peak brightness | Up to 3,500 nits | Up to 5,500 nits |
| Refresh rate | Up to 144Hz | 144Hz native, higher at lower resolutions with Game Accelerator |
| HDMI | 4 ports, HDMI 2.1 not on all | 4 x HDMI 2.1 |
| Sound | ONKYO with subwoofer | Bang & Olufsen tuned with up-firing drivers |
| Avechi price | KSh 226,999 | KSh 180,299 |
Verdict: At today’s prices the C8L wins clearly. It is newer, has more dimming zones, a higher claimed brightness and four HDMI 2.1 ports, and it costs KSh 46,700 less. The C855 is still an excellent TV, but at this size we would point you to the C8L unless the C855 price drops below it.
TCL 75″ C855 FAQs
What is the price of the TCL 75″ C855 in Kenya?
KSh 226,999 at Avechi as of October 2026, with a 1-year warranty.
Do I need a decoder for local channels?
TCL’s European spec sheet for the 75C855 lists a DVB-T2 tuner, and our listing says the same, so free-to-air channels should tune with an aerial. Ask our team to confirm on the unit before you pay. Pay-TV still needs its own decoder.
Does it come with a wall mount?
No. It ships with a centre stand. The TV weighs over 30kg, so use a heavy-duty VESA bracket rated for 75″ screens and have it fixed into solid masonry.
Which streaming apps does it support?
Google TV gives you Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and Spotify from the Play Store. Showmax installs as well, but MultiChoice announced in March 2026 that it will shut the service down.
Is it good for PS5 at 120Hz?
Yes. Connect the PS5 to an HDMI 2.1 port and it runs 4K at 120Hz with VRR. The 144Hz ceiling is mainly useful for gaming PCs.
