Description
Hisense 55″ 55Q6N Price in Kenya
Avechi has the Hisense 55″ 55Q6N (55Q6NKEN) in stock at KSh 49,499, covered by a 1-year warranty, with delivery or pick-up from our Nairobi shop.
The Q6N is Hisense’s 2024 QLED series. It pairs a 4K panel with a quantum dot colour layer and runs VIDAA, Hisense’s own smart TV system, which starts up fast and keeps the menus simple. At 55 inches it suits a living room where the sofa sits roughly 1.4 to 2 metres from the wall. It is a good match for a household that streams series, watches the evening news and catches weekend football, and wants Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos without paying for a Mini LED set.

Why buy the Hisense 55Q6N
- Brighter, deeper colour. The quantum dot film widens the colour range compared with a basic LED TV. Reds on a Harambee Stars jersey and the green of the pitch look fuller, not faded.
- Dolby Vision and HDR10+ together. Many budget sets support only one of the two. With both, Netflix and Prime Video can send their best HDR version to the TV.
- A quick, uncluttered smart system. VIDAA boots in seconds and puts Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video on the home row. Showmax supports Hisense TVs made from 2020 onwards.
- Dolby Atmos sound processing. The built-in speakers decode Atmos tracks, and the eARC port passes full-quality audio to a soundbar if you add one later.
- Console-ready basics. ALLM switches to Game Mode PLUS when a PS5 or Xbox is detected, and VRR smooths out frame-rate dips at 60Hz.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| QLED colour with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ | 60Hz panel, no 4K 120Hz gaming |
| VIDAA is fast and easy for non-techy users | Smaller app store than Google TV, and no Chromecast |
| Three HDMI ports, one with eARC | HDMI 2.0 only, no full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth |
| Dolby Atmos on board | No local dimming, so dark scenes look a bit grey |
| Light enough for a standard wall bracket | A 2024 design; newer Hisense QLEDs have since launched |
Which size is right for your room?
For 4K content, sit about 1 to 1.5 times the screen diagonal away. For a 55″ set that is roughly 1.4 to 2.1 metres. Avechi stocks two Q6N sizes:
| Size | Avechi price |
|---|---|
| Hisense 50″ 50Q6N | KSh 47,299 |
| Hisense 55″ 55Q6N (this page) | KSh 49,499 |
Prices last updated October 2026. Only KSh 2,200 separates the two sizes, so the 55″ is the better buy if it fits your wall.
Hisense 55Q6N vs TCL 55T6D
| Hisense 55Q6N | TCL 55T6D | |
|---|---|---|
| Model year | 2024 | 2026 |
| Smart OS | VIDAA | Google TV with Chromecast |
| Panel | Both 4K QLED, 60Hz native | |
| HDR | Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 | Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG |
| Sound | Both 2.0 speakers with Dolby Atmos | |
| Avechi price | KSh 49,499 | KSh 48,399 |
Verdict: The picture specs are close. Pick the TCL if you want Google TV, phone casting and a wider app choice. Pick the Hisense if the people using the TV prefer a lighter, simpler menu that does not ask for a Google account.
Hisense 55Q6N FAQs
How much is the Hisense 55Q6N in Kenya?
KSh 49,499 at Avechi as of October 2026, with a 1-year warranty.
Can I watch free-to-air channels without a decoder?
Hisense lists a DVB-T2 tuner for the Q6N, which is the digital standard Kenyan free-to-air channels use. Plug in an aerial and run a channel scan. If you want pay-TV like DStv or GOtv, you still need their decoder, connected over HDMI.
Is a wall bracket included?
No. The box has the TV, stand feet, remote and manual. The Q6N uses standard VESA mounting holes, so most 55″ brackets fit.
Does it have Netflix, YouTube and Showmax?
Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video come preloaded on VIDAA. Showmax lists Hisense TVs from 2020 onwards as supported. Google Play apps cannot be installed, because VIDAA is not Android.
Will a PS5 run at 120Hz on this TV?
No. The panel tops out at 60Hz. PS5 games run well in 4K at 60 frames per second, and ALLM keeps input lag low in Game Mode PLUS.
