Description
Hisense 50″ 50A6N Price in Kenya
Buy the Hisense 50″ 50A6N (50A6NKEN) at Avechi for KSh 33,799. It is in stock, carries a 1-year warranty, and we deliver or you can pick it up from our Nairobi shop.
The A6N is Hisense’s 2024 entry 4K range. It uses a direct LED backlit panel without the quantum dot layer of the pricier Q6N, but keeps Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and the VIDAA smart system. Think of it as a sensible first 4K TV: a family moving up from a 32″ or 40″ Full HD set, a bedroom TV, or a screen for a small shop or waiting area. The 50-inch size suits seating about 1.3 to 1.9 metres away.

Why buy the Hisense 50A6N
- Full HDR support at an entry price. Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG are all covered, which is rare under KSh 35,000. Netflix and YouTube HDR content plays in the right format.
- Sharp 4K for bigger screens. Moving from a Full HD set, you get four times the pixels, so text, scores and subtitles look crisp even up close.
- Simple VIDAA menus. Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video sit on the home screen, and the system runs smoothly on modest hardware. Showmax supports Hisense TVs made since 2020.
- Low lag for casual gaming. Game Mode PLUS with ALLM brings input lag down to 14 ms or less, which feels responsive for EA Sports FC or Call of Duty on a PS5 or PS4.
- Room to add a soundbar. Three HDMI ports, one with eARC, leave space for a decoder, a console and a sound system.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG | No quantum dot layer, so colour is less vivid than QLED |
| Low price for a branded 50″ 4K TV | 300 nits limits HDR punch |
| Three HDMI ports, one with eARC | No Dolby Atmos; DTS Virtual:X instead |
| Quick, easy VIDAA software | No Google Play Store or Chromecast |
| ALLM and VRR for consoles | 60Hz only |
Which size is right for your room?
A good guide for 4K is to sit 1 to 1.5 times the diagonal away: about 1.3 to 1.9 metres for 50″. Avechi stocks the A6N in two very different sizes:
| Size | Avechi price |
|---|---|
| Hisense 50″ 50A6N (this page) | KSh 33,799 |
| Hisense 75″ 75A6N | KSh 110,999 |
Prices last updated October 2026. The 75″ model has 2 x 15W speakers instead of 2 x 10W.
Hisense 50A6N vs Hisense 50Q6N
| Hisense 50A6N | Hisense 50Q6N | |
|---|---|---|
| Panel | 4K LED | 4K QLED (quantum dot) |
| HDR | Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG | Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 |
| Audio | DTS Virtual:X | Dolby Atmos |
| Smart OS, ports, gaming | Same: VIDAA, 3 x HDMI with eARC, ALLM and VRR at 60Hz | |
| Avechi price | KSh 33,799 | KSh 47,299 |
Verdict: The Q6N’s QLED colour and Atmos are nice, but they cost KSh 13,500 more. For news, football and everyday streaming, the A6N covers the essentials. Spend the extra only if colour quality matters to you, or put it toward a 55″ Q6N, which is just KSh 2,200 above the 50Q6N.
