The Poco F7 Ultra is the first phone in Poco’s Ultra line. Poco said the phone was the first to ship with the current flagship chipset instead of the previous year’s top chip. GSMArena published its review on 27 March 2025, so this is a 2025 launch. It suits buyers who want flagship-level speed and a fast charger without paying for a top-tier brand. GSMArena says it is the better pick for camera enthusiasts overall.

Why buy the Poco F7 Ultra
- Top-tier chip. The Snapdragon 8 Elite gives the phone a strong score in benchmarks. Compared to the 8 Gen 3, the Elite has a 45% faster CPU and 40% faster GPU.
- Quick top-ups. The 120W wired charger is the main reason to pick this model. The maximum speed is only slightly better than the F7 Pro’s 90W charging in practice.
- Bright screen. The 120Hz AMOLED panel reaches a high peak brightness, so it stays readable outdoors. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
- Water resistance. The F7 series carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
- Telephoto lens. It adds a telephoto camera, a first for a Poco-branded phone. The main cameras record up to 4K60 or 8K24, and the telephoto records 4K60.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Snapdragon 8 Elite with 16GB RAM | The battery is smaller than the F7 Pro’s, which is 6,000mAh. |
| 120W wired charging | Xiaomi recommends its own 120W adaptor, and some markets sell the phone without one. |
| Bright 120Hz OLED with HDR | The ultrawide camera is modest and selfies are only alright. |
| IP68 rating | The reviewer’s unit had no eSIM support. |
| Telephoto lens on a Poco phone | Heavier than many phones of this size at 212 g |
