The S25 was Samsung’s compact flagship for 2025, launched in January of that year. It packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the same chip as the S25 Ultra, into a 6.2-inch body that weighs just 162g. Now that the S26 is out, the S25 has become one of the cheapest ways to get a small, fully featured Samsung flagship with seven years of updates. It is a good match for people who find most phones too big and do not want to give up a zoom lens.

Why buy the Galaxy S25 in 2026
- Top-tier speed, lower price. The Snapdragon 8 Elite still handles demanding games and 8K video with ease, and it is the same chip Samsung used in the S25 Ultra.
- Truly one-handed. At 162g and just over 70mm wide, it is easy to use with one thumb while holding a bag or a railing on the bus.
- Three useful cameras. Main, ultra-wide and a stabilised 3x zoom cover group photos, landscapes and portraits without moving your feet.
- Updates well into the future. Seven major Android upgrades from Android 15 mean support continues for years after you buy.
- Flagship basics included. IP68, wireless charging, stereo speakers and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader are all here.
