Its headline feature is a 200MP telephoto camera with a large sensor, joined by a 50MP variable-aperture main camera, a 6.9″ LTPO OLED screen and 100W wired charging. It is aimed at keen mobile photographers who want a large screen and do not depend on Google apps.

Why buy the Pura 90s Pro Max
- A telephoto that rivals main cameras. The 200MP zoom camera uses a large sensor with OIS, so zoomed shots of a match at Kasarani or wildlife on a game drive hold detail that smaller tele sensors lose.
- Flexible main camera. The f/1.4 to f/4.0 variable aperture lets the phone favour light in the dark or depth of field in daylight.
- Better ultra-wide than the Pro. 40MP versus 12.5MP makes landscape and group shots noticeably cleaner.
- Fast charging for a big battery. 100W wired charging tops up the 6,000mAh cell quickly, and wireless charging is supported too.
- Large, tough and slim. A 6.9″ screen in an 8.1mm body with IP68 and IP69 protection.

Verdict: Both share the chip, main camera and battery. The Pro Max earns its higher price with the 200MP telephoto, a much better ultra-wide, faster charging, a bigger screen and double the storage. If zoom photography matters to you, the Pro Max is the one to get. If you want a smaller, lighter phone and mainly shoot with the main camera, the Pro saves you KSh 23,000.
