The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is a small streaming stick that plugs into the HDMI port of a television. Amazon released it in 2025. It suits buyers who want 4K streaming with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on a TV that lacks a good built-in app system, and who do not want to replace the set. Amazon has since announced a newer Fire TV Stick 4K and says the 4K Plus will be sold only while supplies last, so check current stock before you plan around it.

Why buy the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus
- HDR and surround sound: Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos support means the stick can send HDR picture and object-based sound to a compatible TV and sound system.
- Wi-Fi 6 on a dual-band radio: The stick can switch to the less crowded band, which helps 4K playback when other phones and laptops share the router. You need a Wi-Fi 6 router to get this benefit.
- 2GB RAM with a 1.7 GHz quad-core chip: These support quicker app launches and smoother menu movement than entry-level sticks with less memory.
- Voice remote with TV controls: The included Alexa Voice Remote can switch your TV on and off and change volume, so you need only one remote for the setup.
- Cloud gaming without a console: If you already pay for Xbox Game Pass, you can stream a range of Xbox titles to the TV through the stick.
