This is an older phone. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G in international markets in early 2023. In 2026 it still works well for everyday use, but several newer phones at Avechi cost about the same and are better in most areas. We list them below so you can compare before you buy.

Why buy the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G
- Lots of memory for the price. 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage at KSh 30,999 is generous, so apps stay open in the background.
- Headphone jack. Unlike most newer Redmi Note models, it keeps a 3.5mm port for wired earphones.
- Stabilised main camera. The 50MP sensor has OIS, which helps photos in dim rooms and steadies 4K video.
- Quick 67W charging. It goes from empty to full in under an hour.
