Why buy the Galaxy F70 Pro
- Battery for long days. 6,000mAh is a big step up from the 5,000mAh found in most Samsung mid-rangers, which helps if you are out from early morning to late evening.
- 45W charging. Faster than the 25W on Samsung’s budget models, so a short top-up at lunch goes a long way.
- Stable photos and video. Optical stabilisation on the 50MP main camera reduces blur in low light and steadies 4K clips.
- Six years of updates. Six Android upgrades and six years of security patches give it a longer useful life than most phones near this price.
- A capable chip. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 handles social apps, video calls and casual games without fuss.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Large 6,000mAh battery | Only the 6GB/128GB version is sold at Avechi |
| 45W fast charging | 5MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro add little |
| OIS on the main camera | Water-resistance rating unclear, as launch reports differ |
| 120Hz Super AMOLED with Victus+ glass | Costs almost the same as the Galaxy M47, which is IP64 rated |
| Six years of Android upgrades | No telephoto camera |

| Battery / charging | 6,000mAh, 45W | 6,000mAh, 45W |
| Dust and water rating | Not confirmed | IP64 |
| Colours | Alpha Black, Aura Green | Blaze Blue, Rogue Red |
| Avechi price (6GB/128GB) | KSh 34,199 | KSh 34,499 |
Verdict: On paper these two are close to twins: same chip, screen size, cameras, battery and charging, and the same six-year update promise. The F70 Pro is KSh 300 cheaper. The Galaxy M47 has a confirmed IP64 rating against dust and splashes. If you work outdoors or ride boda bodas in the rain, that small difference in price is worth paying. Otherwise, pick the colour you prefer.
