Description
Samsung Galaxy A06 5G Price in Kenya
The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G costs KSh 14,999 in Kenya at Avechi for the 4GB/64GB model. It is in stock with a 1-year warranty, ready for delivery or pick-up from our Nairobi shop.
Released in February 2025, the A06 5G was the first phone in Samsung’s entry-level A0 line to support 5G. It keeps the big 6.7-inch screen and 5,000mAh battery of the regular A06 but adds a faster MediaTek chip, a 90Hz display and splash resistance. It is a sensible first smartphone, a phone for a parent, or a cheap second line that can use 5G where your network offers it.

Why buy the Galaxy A06 5G
- A low-cost way into Samsung 5G. At KSh 14,999 it costs only KSh 600 more than the 4G A06.
- Four Android upgrades. Starting on Android 15, it is promised updates up to Android 19, twice what the 4G A06 gets.
- Lasts a long day. The 5,000mAh battery with an efficient 6nm chip gets most light users through a full day and into the next.
- Useful extras that cheap phones are dropping. You still get a headphone jack, FM radio and a memory card slot.
- Some protection from dust and rain. IP54 covers splashes and dusty roads, which the 4G A06 does not have.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| 5G at a very low price | Only 64GB of storage in stock |
| 4 Android upgrades, patches into 2030 | HD+ LCD screen looks soft next to AMOLED |
| 90Hz screen | No NFC |
| Headphone jack, FM radio, microSD | Card slot shares the SIM tray, so you choose between a second SIM and a card |
| IP54 splash resistance | Basic camera, poor in low light |
Galaxy A06 5G vs Galaxy A06 (4G)
| Galaxy A06 (4G) | Galaxy A06 5G | |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Helio G85 (12nm) | Dimensity 6300 (6nm) |
| Network | 4G | 5G |
| Screen | 6.7″ HD+ LCD | 6.7″ HD+ LCD, 90Hz |
| Water and dust | No IP rating | IP54 |
| Android upgrades | Up to 2 | Up to 4 |
| Memory card | Dedicated slot | Shares the SIM tray |
| Battery / charging | Same: 5,000mAh, 25W | |
| Avechi price (4GB/64GB) | KSh 14,399 | KSh 14,999 |
Verdict: For KSh 600 more, the A06 5G is faster, smoother, splash resistant and supported for longer. The only thing you give up is the dedicated card slot. Unless you need two SIMs and a memory card at once, buy the 5G model.

- Samsung Galaxy A06 (4G) (4GB/64GB, KSh 14,399): the lowest-cost Samsung if 5G and updates do not matter.
