Before you buy, know what you are getting. The Find X5 Pro was Oppo’s flagship in early 2022 (announced February 2022, on sale March 2022). It still has a superb 1440p LTPO screen, a ceramic back, wireless charging and two 50MP cameras. But it launched on Android 12 and has already reached Android 14, its last major upgrade, and the newer Find X8 Pro costs KSh 31,000 less at Avechi. The comparison below shows how it stacks up.

Why some buyers still choose the Find X5 Pro
- A very sharp screen. The 1440p LTPO panel is crisper than most phones sold today, and it drops its refresh rate when the image is still to save power.
- Ceramic finish. The ceramic back feels dense and polished, and it sets the phone apart from the usual glass and plastic.
- Fast charging both ways. 80W by cable and 50W wireless are still quick by 2026 standards.
- Balanced main and ultra-wide cameras. Both are 50MP, so wide-angle shots keep their detail and colour matches between lenses.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Sharp 1440p LTPO AMOLED screen | Major Android upgrades have ended at Android 14 |
| Premium ceramic build, IP68 | Costs more than the far newer Find X8 Pro at Avechi |
| 80W wired and 50W wireless charging | Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 runs warm under heavy load |
| Two 50MP cameras, 4K60 10-bit video | Only 2x telephoto, weaker zoom than newer flagships |
| Stereo speakers | A 2022 battery of 5,000mAh is small next to 2025 and 2026 phones |

Verdict: The Find X8 Pro wins on every point that matters: a faster chip, far better zoom, a bigger battery, IP69 and years of updates still ahead, and it costs KSh 31,000 less. We only recommend the Find X5 Pro if you specifically want its ceramic design or 1440p screen and accept that it will not get new Android versions.
