Why buy the Oppo A5
- Built to take knocks. Gorilla Glass 7i on the screen, IP65 sealing and military-standard drop testing make it harder to break than most phones at this price.
- Fast charging for a budget phone. 45W gets half the battery back in roughly 36 minutes, handy before a long matatu ride.
- Two-day battery for light users. 6,000mAh and a modest HD+ screen go a long way.
- A usable 50MP camera. Daylight photos for WhatsApp and Instagram come out clean, with autofocus on the main sensor.
- 6GB RAM. More headroom for switching between apps than the 4GB found on many rivals.
