Why buy the Oppo A6x 4G
- Battery first. 6,500mAh is a lot for a phone at this price. Light users can expect to charge every other day.
- Smooth 120Hz screen. Scrolling through Facebook or TikTok looks less jerky than on the 60Hz and 90Hz screens common in this bracket.
- A capable chip for the money. The 6nm Snapdragon 685 handles everyday apps, M-Pesa and video calls without much fuss.
- Room to grow. A memory card slot and a 256GB option mean storage should not run out.
- Old-school extras kept. There is a headphone jack for wired earphones and a side fingerprint reader that works with wet or dusty hands.

| IP64 dust and splash protection | 4GB RAM on every version |
| Low starting price | Heavy at 210g |
Oppo A6x 4G vs Oppo A5
| Oppo A5 (4G) | Oppo A6x 4G | |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 | Snapdragon 685 |
| Display | 6.67″ LCD, 90Hz | 6.75″ LCD, 120Hz |
| Main camera | 50MP | 13MP |
| Battery & charging | 6,000mAh, 45W | 6,500mAh |
| Water resistance | IP65 | IP64 |
| Avechi price | KSh 22,899 (6GB/128GB) | KSh 22,299 (4GB/128GB) |
Verdict: At almost the same price, the choice comes down to camera versus battery. The A5 takes clearly better photos and has 2GB more RAM. The A6x lasts longer on a charge and has the smoother 120Hz screen. If photos matter, pick the A5. If the phone is mainly for calls, chat and battery life, the A6x is the better fit.
