Why buy the OnePlus Nord 6
- A battery that outlasts the day. 7,500mAh is a big jump over most mid-rangers, and 80W charging refills it quickly when you finally plug in.
- Near-flagship speed. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 handles demanding games and heavy multitasking with room to spare.
- A very fast screen. The 165Hz AMOLED makes scrolling and supported games look noticeably smoother than a 120Hz panel.
- Tough against water and dust. IP68 and IP69K cover dust, immersion and high-pressure water jets, so rain and spills are not a worry.
- Long support. Four Android upgrades and six years of security patches keep it safe well into the 2030s.

Verdict: The Nord 6 is the better phone, mainly for its larger battery, faster chip and much stronger water protection. The Nord 5 still costs about KSh 10,000 less and has a sharper selfie camera, so it remains a sensible pick if the budget stops at KSh 50,000.
Other phones to consider
- OnePlus Nord 5 (KSh 50,199): the previous Nord with a large battery for less money.
- Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro (from KSh 50,999): another performance-first mid-ranger at a lower price.
- Google Pixel 10a (from KSh 54,999): pick this if photos and clean software matter more than speed.
