Why buy the Insta360 X6
- Sharper 360 footage. The camera shoots 8K at 50fps, twice the frame rate of the X5 at 8K. Smooth motion and crisp detail help when you crop or reframe.
- Bigger sensors for low light. Each lens uses a 1/1.1-inch sensor, which gives more light per frame than the X5. Night scenes and mixed lighting benefit most.
- Colour control. 10-bit colour, I-Log and Dolby Vision give you room to grade footage in post.
- Storage on board. The 47GB of built-in memory lets you record even when you forget a microSD card.
- Water-ready body. IP68 rating covers 20m without a case, so you can use it at the beach or in shallow dives without extra housing.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |

| 47GB built-in storage | The 140-minute runtime is quoted at 8K30, not 8K50 |
| IP68, 20m without a case | The 60m dive case is an optional extra |
| Replaceable lenses | Heavier than some action cameras |
