The Mate XT was the first commercial tri-fold phone. Huawei announced it in September 2024, and the international version runs EMUI 14.2. It folds twice: use it as a 6.4″ phone, open it once for a 7.9″ screen, or open it fully into a 10.2″ tablet. It is for executives, creatives and tech lovers who want a tablet-size screen in their jacket pocket and are happy to work without Google apps.
Important: like all recent Huawei phones, the Mate XT has no Google Mobile Services. There is no Google Play Store, Gmail app, Google Maps app or Google Pay. Apps come from Huawei AppGallery or other sources.
