Why buy the Pixel 11

  • A real zoom lens on the base model. The 5x telephoto camera is rare at this level. It lets you frame a speaker at the front of a hall or a player across the pitch without walking closer.
  • Support until 2033. Seven years of Android and security updates means the phone should stay safe and current far longer than most rivals.
  • Faster wireless charging. Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging now reaches 25W, up from 15W on the Pixel 10, and works with Qi2 magnetic chargers and stands.
  • Easy to use with one hand. At 6.3″ and 197g it is smaller and lighter than most flagships, and lighter than the Pixel 10 too.
  • Clean software. No duplicate apps or ads, and new features arrive through regular Pixel Drops.

Verdict: The Pixel 11 is a careful update. You get a newer chip, quicker wireless charging, a lighter body and one more year of support. At 256GB the gap is about KSh 5,100, which makes the Pixel 11 the better buy. If you need a lower price, the 128GB Pixel 10 at KSh 73,199 keeps the same camera layout and still has years of updates left.

Other phones to consider

  • Google Pixel 10 (from KSh 73,199): almost the same cameras and screen for much less.
  • Google Pixel 10 Pro (from KSh 95,999): Pro cameras, a sharper screen and 16GB of RAM for about the price of the Pixel 11.
  • OnePlus 15 (KSh 99,999): for much faster wired charging and a bigger battery.
  • Google Pixel 10a (from KSh 54,999): the Pixel camera and long update support on a tighter budget.
