Why the Poco F8 Ultra stands out
- A 5x zoom that is actually useful. The 50MP periscope lens with OIS can pick out a speaker on stage or a building across town far better than digital zoom.
- Three strong cameras, not one. The main, zoom and ultra-wide are all 50MP, so quality stays more even when you switch lenses.
- Wireless charging at 50W. Rare on a Poco, and quick enough to top up on a desk pad during the workday.
- Plug it into a screen. The USB-C 3.2 port supports DisplayPort output, so you can show slides or video on a monitor with the right cable.
- 16GB/512GB costs almost the same. The bigger model is only KSh 1,000 more, which makes it the obvious choice.
Pros and cons

| 100W wired and 50W wireless charging | No memory card slot or headphone jack |
| IP68, stereo speakers with woofer | No published update promise |
| 8K video and 4K selfie video | The newer Poco F9 Ultra is now available |

Verdict: The Poco F9 Ultra adds a 200MP main camera, a faster 185Hz screen and a much bigger battery, at the cost of extra weight. The F8 Ultra uses the same main chip and the same zoom reach. If you find it cheaper, it remains a strong high-end phone.
