Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 Price in Kenya

Why buy the Phantom V Fold 2
- Three 50MP rear cameras. Main, 2x telephoto and ultra-wide all use 50MP sensors, so quality stays more even when you switch lenses than on phones with a cheap ultra-wide.
- Battery that lasts a long day. 5,750mAh is a lot for a foldable, and 70W charging refills it in under an hour according to Tecno.
- Two full screens. Use the 6.42-inch cover screen like a normal phone, then open it to 7.85 inches for spreadsheets, e-books or a YouTube lecture with notes beside it.
- Stylus support. Handy for marking up PDFs, signing documents or quick sketches on the big inner screen.
- More foldable for the money. At KSh 123,999 with 512GB, it costs well below the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Honor Magic V5 at Avechi.

| Lighter and thinner than the first V Fold | No memory card slot |

Phantom V Fold 2 vs Phantom V Fold
| Phantom V Fold (2023) | Phantom V Fold 2 (2024) | |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Same: MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ | |
| Rear cameras | 50MP + 50MP 2x + 13MP ultra-wide | 50MP OIS + 50MP 2x + 50MP ultra-wide |
| Selfie cameras | 32MP cover, 16MP inner | 32MP cover, 32MP inner |
| Battery / charging | 5,000mAh, 45W | 5,750mAh, 70W wired, 15W wireless |
| Water / dust | No IP rating | IP54 |
| Weight | 299g | 249g |
| Avechi price (12GB/512GB) | KSh 130,499 | KSh 123,999 |
Verdict: The V Fold 2 is better in almost every way that matters day to day: it is lighter, lasts longer, charges faster and survives splashes. With the same storage it is also KSh 6,500 cheaper at Avechi, so there is little reason to choose the original unless you want its 256GB version.
Other phones to consider
- Honor Magic V3 (KSh 112,999): a thinner, lighter foldable with a newer Snapdragon chip for less money.
- Honor Magic V5 (KSh 141,499): a 2025 foldable with a Snapdragon 8 Elite and a periscope zoom camera.
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (from KSh 151,999): the pick if long software support matters most.
- Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G (KSh 58,599): a regular Tecno phone with a 3x telephoto and IP68/IP69K, at less than half the price.
