Why buy the Nord CE6
- 8,000mAh in an 8.5mm body. That is among the largest batteries in any mainstream phone, enough for two days of normal use or a full day of hotspotting and streaming.
- Charges other gadgets properly. 27W reverse wired charging can top up a friend’s phone or your earbuds quickly, and bypass charging feeds power straight to the phone while gaming to limit heat.
- Tough for daily life. IP68/IP69K plus MIL-STD-810H testing means rain, dust and the odd drop on a tiled floor are less of a worry.
- Smooth, bright screen. The 144Hz AMOLED makes scrolling feel fluid and stays readable outdoors.
- Remote control built in. The IR blaster lets you control a TV or air conditioner with the phone.

Nord CE6 vs Nord CE5
| Nord CE5 (2025) | Nord CE6 (2026) | |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Dimensity 8350 Apex | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 |
| Display | 6.77″ AMOLED, Full HD+, 120Hz | 6.78″ AMOLED, 1.5K, 144Hz |
| Rear cameras | 50MP OIS + 8MP ultra-wide | 50MP OIS + 2MP monochrome |
| Battery & charging | 5,200mAh (global) or 7,100mAh (India), 80W | 8,000mAh, 80W |
| Durability | IP65 | IP68/IP69K, MIL-STD-810H |
| Android at launch | Android 15 | Android 16 |
| Avechi price (8GB/256GB) | KSh 35,499 | KSh 44,999 |
Verdict: The CE6 wins on battery, screen, water resistance and freshness of software. The CE5 keeps a useful ultra-wide camera and its Dimensity 8350 Apex is a strong performer, and it costs KSh 9,500 less. If battery life and toughness matter most, get the CE6. If you want the most speed and camera flexibility per shilling, the CE5 is still a good buy.
