Description
Google Pixel Fold Price in Kenya
The Google Pixel Fold price in Kenya starts at KSh 73,499 at Avechi for 12GB/256GB, and the 12GB/512GB version costs KSh 78,999. Both are in stock with a 1-year Avechi warranty, and you can have yours delivered or collect it from our Nairobi shop. Google does not sell Pixel phones officially in Kenya, so the warranty comes from Avechi.
This is the original Pixel Fold, Google’s first folding phone, released in June 2023. It is a wide, passport-shaped phone that opens into a 7.6″ screen. It now sells for well under half of what newer foldables cost, which makes it one of the cheapest ways into a book-style foldable. It suits buyers who want a big inner screen for reading and split-screen work on a budget, and who accept that it is now three years old.

Why buy the Pixel Fold
- A foldable for mid-range money. At KSh 73,499 it costs less than many new non-folding flagships, yet you still get a 7.6″ inner screen.
- A cover screen you can use. The 5.8″ outer display has a normal phone shape, so replying to messages or checking a map does not mean opening the phone.
- A real 5x zoom lens. Many cheaper phones have no telephoto at all. Here you get optical 5x zoom with stabilisation for distant subjects.
- Room for documents and video. The wide inner screen fits two apps side by side, such as a spreadsheet and email, or a video next to a chat.
- About 20 months of updates left. Support runs to at least June 2028, which covers a typical two-year ownership period.

Verdict: The camera layout is almost the same, so the KSh 34,500 extra for the 9 Pro Fold buys a thinner, lighter body, bigger screens, a much newer chip and over three more years of updates. If you plan to keep the phone for four years or more, the 9 Pro Fold is the safer buy. If you want the lowest-cost entry into foldables and will upgrade in two years, the original Fold makes sense.
Other phones to consider
- Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold (KSh 107,999): bigger screens, a slimmer body and updates to 2031.
- Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold (from KSh 159,999): adds full IP68 dust and water protection and Qi2 magnetic charging.
- Google Pixel 9 (from KSh 69,999): if you do not need a folding screen, a newer Pixel with IP68 and support to 2031 for less.
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (from KSh 151,999): a much thinner and lighter foldable with a 200MP camera.
