Why buy the Pixel 9
- A strong ultra-wide camera. The 48MP ultra-wide is a big step up from the 12-13MP units on the Pixel 8 and the a-series, so landscape and group shots hold more detail.
- Premium build in a small size. Victus 2 glass on both sides and an aluminium frame, in a body only 8.5mm thick.
- 12GB of RAM. More apps stay open in the background, which helps if you jump between WhatsApp, banking apps and the camera all day.
- Fast, secure unlocking. The ultrasonic fingerprint reader is quicker and more reliable with damp fingers than the optical readers on cheaper Pixels.
- Updates until 2031. Seven years of support from August 2024 leaves plenty of life in the phone.
