Description

Google Pixel 6 Price in Kenya

The Google Pixel 6 5G price in Kenya is KSh 30,999 to KSh 36,499 at Avechi, depending on the version you pick from the RAM / Storage menu above. It comes with a 1-year warranty, and you can have it delivered or pick it up from our Nairobi shop.

Google released the Pixel 6 in October 2021. It was the first Pixel built on Google’s own Tensor chip. Five years on, it is one of the cheapest ways to get a Pixel camera with a glass and aluminium body. Buyers should know that Google’s update support is ending: the promise was five years of Android and security updates from October 2021, which runs out in October 2026. It fits someone on a tight budget who wants good photos and accepts the end of security patches. Google does not sell Pixel phones in Kenya, so the warranty comes from Avechi.

Why buy the Pixel 6

  • Pixel photos on a small budget. The 50MP main sensor is large for a phone at this price and has optical stabilisation, so night shots and moving subjects come out cleaner than on most entry phones.
  • Feels expensive. Glass front and back, an aluminium frame and IP68 sealing are rare under KSh 35,000.
  • Wireless charging included. It charges on Qi pads at up to 21W and can share power with earbuds placed on its back.
  • Two lines in one phone. A nano SIM plus eSIM lets you keep a work and a personal number.

Verdict: The Pixel 7 costs KSh 7,000 more and gets a newer chip, a better selfie camera, a lighter body and a year more of Google support. The Pixel 6 has the bigger battery and wins on price. If you plan to keep the phone more than a year, the Pixel 7 is the safer buy.

Other phones to consider

  • Google Pixel 7 (from KSh 37,999): newer chip and support that lasts about a year longer.
  • Google Pixel 6 Pro (from KSh 39,999): adds a 4x zoom camera, a bigger 120Hz screen and 12GB RAM.
  • Google Pixel 8a (from KSh 45,499): for updates promised into 2031.
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G (KSh 31,999): a newer phone at about the same price, if current software matters more than the Pixel camera.
