Why buy the Armor X16 Pro
- 5G for under KSh 33,000. It costs about KSh 13,500 less than the Armor 23 Ultra, yet keeps 5G, NFC and IP69K.
- A battery that outlasts a normal phone twice over. 10,360mAh is roughly double a standard 5,000mAh phone. Ulefone’s EU label rates it at about 115 hours of mixed use.
- Night vision on a budget. The 25MP infrared camera and its two IR lights record in near darkness, useful for checking a compound or a shamba after sunset.
- Lighter than the big Armors. At 395g and 18mm thick it is the easiest to carry of the battery-focused Ulefones here.
- Practical extras. There is a headphone jack, FM radio that works without data, and an IR blaster to control a TV or air conditioner.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| 5G at a mid-range price | HD+ (720p) screen looks soft |
| 10,360mAh battery | 33W charging is slow for this capacity |
| Night vision camera | Dimensity 6300 is an entry-level chip |
| IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H | 2MP macro camera adds little |
| Under 400g, with jack, NFC and microSD | No 4K video |

| Avechi price (8GB/256GB) | KSh 24,499 | KSh 32,899 |
Verdict: The two look alike on paper but the X16 Pro is the stronger phone. It adds 5G, a faster chip, faster charging, night vision and a headphone jack. If KSh 8,400 matters more than those, the RugKing 4 Pro still gives you the same toughness and battery size.
Other phones to consider

- Ulefone Armor X16 (KSh 24,199): the non-Pro model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
- Ulefone RugKing 5 Pro (KSh 29,699): almost twice the battery at 20,000mAh, without 5G.
- Ulefone Armor 30 (KSh 39,299): a sharper Full HD screen, 12,800mAh, 66W charging and a powerful flashlight.
