Samsung Galaxy M17 5G 8GB/128GB Price in Kenya
The Samsung Galaxy M17 5G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage costs KSh 28,499 at Avechi. It is in stock with a 1-year warranty, for delivery or pick-up from our Nairobi shop.
This is the 8GB RAM version of the Galaxy M17 5G, the highest-memory option in the range. Storage stays at 128GB on every version. Our full Galaxy M17 5G review and specs covers the screen, OIS camera and update promise in detail.
Who should buy the 8GB version?
- Owners who plan to keep the phone a long time. Samsung promises up to six major Android upgrades, and newer Android versions tend to want more memory. 8GB gives the most headroom for that.
- Heavy multitaskers. If you jump between WhatsApp, a browser full of tabs, Maps and the camera, more RAM means apps reload less often when you switch back.
- Not needed for basic use. For calls, chats, M-Pesa and social media, the 4GB or 6GB model does the job at a lower price.
- Storage is the same 128GB. The extra money buys memory, not space. If you need room for files, add a microSD card, keeping in mind it uses the second SIM slot.
Galaxy M17 5G versions compared
| Variant | RAM | Storage | Avechi price | Difference vs 8GB/128GB |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy M17 5G 4GB/128GB | 4GB | 128GB | KSh 24,499 | KSh 4,000 less |
| Galaxy M17 5G 6GB/128GB | 6GB | 128GB | KSh 26,999 | KSh 1,500 less |
| Galaxy M17 5G 8GB/128GB | 8GB | 128GB | KSh 28,499 | This version |
Verdict: Within the M17 range, the jump from 6GB to 8GB costs KSh 1,500, a fair price for the extra memory if you want the phone to stay smooth for years. Also check the near-identical Galaxy F17 5G 8GB/128GB: at KSh 28,999 it is currently KSh 500 dearer, so this M17 is the cheaper 8GB option right now. If you can live with 6GB, though, the F17 6GB/128GB at KSh 25,499 saves you KSh 3,000.
