It now appeals mainly to buyers who want flagship touches like wireless charging and a high-resolution display on a mid-range budget. Keep in mind that it has already received Android 14, its last major upgrade.

Why buy the OnePlus 10 Pro
- Flagship screen at a mid-range price. The 6.7″ 1440p panel is sharper than nearly every phone you can buy new for KSh 60,000.
- Wireless charging included. 50W wireless is rare at this price, and 80W by cable fills the battery in about half an hour.
- Real zoom lens. The 3.3x telephoto with stabilisation gets closer to a stage or a match than phones that rely on digital zoom.
- Very wide ultra-wide. The 150-degree lens captures a whole room or a big family group from close range.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Sharp 1440p 120Hz LTPO screen | No more major Android upgrades after Android 14 |
| 80W wired and 50W wireless charging | No official water resistance rating on most versions |
| 3.3x telephoto and 150-degree ultra-wide | Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 can run warm under load |
| Stereo speakers, premium glass build | The newer Nord 6 costs the same at Avechi |
OnePlus 10 Pro vs OnePlus Nord 6
| OnePlus 10 Pro (2022) | OnePlus Nord 6 (2026) | |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 |
| Display | 6.7″ LTPO AMOLED, 1440p, 120Hz | 6.78″ AMOLED, 1.5K, 165Hz |
| Rear cameras | 48MP + 50MP ultra-wide + 8MP 3.3x telephoto | 50MP OIS + 8MP ultra-wide |
| Battery & charging | 5,000mAh, 80W wired, 50W wireless | 7,500mAh (global), 80W wired, no wireless |
| Water resistance | None on most versions | IP68 and IP69K |
| Software | Ended at Android 14 | Android 16, 4 major upgrades promised |
| Avechi price | KSh 59,999 (12GB/256GB) | KSh 59,999 (8GB/256GB) |
Verdict: At the same price, the Nord 6 is the better buy for most people. It has a newer and faster chip, a much bigger battery, proper water resistance and years of updates still to come. The OnePlus 10 Pro only makes sense if you specifically want wireless charging, a telephoto lens and a 1440p screen, and accept that its software support is winding down.
Other phones to consider

- OnePlus 15R (from KSh 72,499): a newer performance-focused OnePlus for a moderate step up.
