Honor Magic V3 Price in Kenya
Avechi sells the Honor Magic V3 (12GB RAM / 512GB) for KSh 112,999. This version is in stock and comes with a 1-year warranty. Order for delivery, or collect it from our Nairobi shop.
Honor announced the Magic V3 in China in July 2024 and launched it worldwide at IFA in Berlin that September. It was one of the thinnest book-style foldables of its year, and it still feels slim today. It is now two generations old, since the Magic V5 and Magic V6 have followed. Buy it if you want a large folding screen and flagship-class performance for noticeably less than the newer models.

Why buy the Magic V3
- A small tablet that folds into a phone. Open it and the 7.92-inch screen fits two apps side by side, handy for replying to emails while checking a document or a supplier price list.
- Longer zoom than its successor. The 50MP periscope reaches 3.5x optically, slightly further than the 3x lens on the Magic V5, and it has its own stabilisation.
- Still a fast phone. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was Qualcomm’s top chip in 2024 and handles demanding games and editing without trouble.
- Fast charging with or without a cable. It takes 66W wired and 50W wireless, so a quick top-up before heading out goes a long way.
- Lower entry price into Honor foldables. It costs about KSh 28,500 less than the Magic V5 at Avechi.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Slim and light for a large foldable | Older chip than the Magic V5 and V6 |
| 3.5x periscope telephoto with OIS | Water rating only, no dust protection |
| Usable full-size cover screen | Smaller battery than newer Honor folds |
| 66W wired and 50W wireless charging | Fewer years of updates left than newer models |
| 512GB storage as standard at Avechi | No microSD slot |
Magic V3 vs Magic V5
| Magic V3 (2024) | Magic V5 (2025) | |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 | Snapdragon 8 Elite |
| Battery | 5,150mAh | 5,820mAh (global version) |
| Telephoto | 50MP, 3.5x | 64MP, 3x |
| Ultra-wide | 40MP | 50MP |
| Dust / water | IPX8 | IP58/IP59 |
| Folded thickness / weight | 9.2mm / 226g | 8.8mm / 217g |
| Avechi price | KSh 112,999 (12GB/512GB) | KSh 141,499 (16GB/512GB) |
Verdict: The Magic V5 is thinner, lasts longer on a charge and adds dust protection and a newer chip, with more RAM in the version we stock. The V3 wins on price and has a slightly longer zoom. If your budget stops near KSh 113,000, the V3 is a sensible foldable. If you can stretch, the V5 will age better.
Other phones to consider
- Honor Magic V5 (KSh 141,499): the direct successor, with a bigger battery and IP58/IP59.
- Google Pixel Fold (from KSh 73,499): a much cheaper way into foldables, though it is an older and heavier 2023 design.
- Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 (KSh 123,999): another large foldable with 512GB storage at a similar price.
- Honor 600 Pro 5G (from KSh 92,999): if you do not need a folding screen, a newer flagship-class Honor for less.
