Why buy the AirPods 5 ANC with Wireless Charging Case
- Noise cancellation at a lower price: ANC is now standard on the AirPods 5 line. At KSh 24,899 this model costs KSh 4,100 less than its list price at Avechi.
- Built for movement: The IP57 rating covers dust, sweat and water, so rain and gym sessions are not a problem.
- Light open-ear fit: At 4.3 g per earbud, the open design sits comfortably for long listening sessions.
- Charging flexibility: The case takes USB-C and also charges on a Qi pad, which the USB-C-only version cannot do.
- Battery for a day out: Up to 5 hours per earbud charge with ANC on, and up to 22 hours with the case.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| ANC in a light open-ear design | About 5 hours per charge with ANC on, which is short for long flights |
| IP57 rating for sweat and rain | IP57 is not a swimming rating, and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear |
| Wireless charging on the case | Open-ear design blocks less outside sound than in-ear models |
| Up to 22 hours total with the case | Best experience needs an Apple device |
| Price below the list price at Avechi | Only the wireless case version is listed here, and the USB-C case version is the cheaper choice if you do not need Qi charging |

| Price at Avechi | KSh 23,499 | KSh 25,899 |
| Design | Open-ear | Open-ear clip-on earbuds |
| Noise cancellation | Active noise cancellation | Call noise cancellation only, per call noise cancellation, adaptive volume, and multiple EQ sound effects |
| Earbud weight | 4.3 g | 5.1 g |
| Battery, earbuds | Up to 5 hours with ANC on | Up to 9 hours of music playback |
| Battery, with case | Up to 22 hours with ANC on | Up to 38 hours |
| Water rating | IP57 earbuds and case | IP57 earbuds, the charging case is IP54 |
Verdict: The AirPods 5 are the better pick if active noise cancellation and an Apple setup matter most. The FreeClip 2 S costs KSh 1,000 more at Avechi, yet it lasts far longer on one charge and its earbuds are lighter. If battery life and comfort come first, the FreeClip 2 S gives more for the money.
